Place of birth: Desert outside of Ashmire

Place of residence: Arcadia (when not flying)

Gender: Male

Height: 6’1”

Race: Draculian

Class/occupation: Freebooter

Family: Ithiel Husher (father; deceased), Shea Gallagher (mother; deceased), Variaki Gallagher (uncle; deceased)

Religion: Novemneism

Education: Primarily home taught.

Abilities: HE’LL SHOOT YOU DEAD. *backspaced about seven times for typos* And breathes fire like maaaddddd but not like mothers against drunk driving well yeah you know. That and he’s a huge dragon who can swallow you whole (NO INNUENDOES INTENDED) (GOD, GUYS, WAY TO GO) (I LOVE YOU TOO).
He can breathe fire like any normal, self-respecting dragon. 8D

Strengths: A practical problem solver, Rooster has an aptitude for learning from observation. He’s also a skilled pilot and has a steady enough aim with firearms.

Weaknesses: He’s apt to make more enemies than friends, and even if he’s managed to not completely piss them off, he’s not likely to stay in contact with them. He does sort of have a way with words—though definitely not in a way that would actually help—and takes most challenges much too personally.

Habits: Smoking saloweed, not answering when he doesn’t have anything to say, saying something when it would be much better not to

Hobbies: Hobbies? Um. Yeah...he has them. Kind of. Well, you know. Hmm. Well, he does kind of enjoy it when he gets an “OHSHIT” reaction when Imperial ships realize that they’re being raided. :D sdflkjsdf asshole. :|
Flying his airship, ignoring people, doing his job.

Likes: Maklaf, rain, thunderstorms, his life (for the most part)

Dislikes: Most people, most social situations, the Imperium, dragon hunters, idiots

History:
Raised by his mother, Rooster spent a good half of his childhood in the desert, learning to shift smoothly between his two forms. The two of them were in possession of some important Underground documents of some sort for his uncle, though it was not a subject that often came up. When he was able to maintain his human form without too many problems, his mother left the documents hidden in the middle of nowhere and took him back to Ashmire, where he met a couple relatives and family friends, a few trusty individuals who would turn a blind eye and help cover for him at dinner parties whenever he accidentally popped a scale or hiccupped (maybe he sneezed) fire.

One day, Rooster’s uncle returned and expressed an urgent need for the documents. The plan was to fly out, meet another Underground ship, and transfer the documents. Simple enough. At the time, they were not under the Imperium’s radar for any specific reason and didn’t have any cause to be stopped. The ship’s crew was accustomed to working with unexpected situations, so the mission was pretty much as easy as missions ever got. Rooster’s mother insisted that she go on her own, but Roo insisted just as strongly that he accompany her.

After picking up the documents and on the way to transfer them, the pilot was showing Rooster the basic controls and Rooster was trying to tell him that yes, he’d been watching the guy fly the damn thing for days and thought he knew how it worked when they were stopped. (Some sand pirates had given anonymous—but fake, they thought—information to the nearest few Imperial ships to move it out of their way, but the coordinates they provided coincided with the path of Rooster’s ship, and so they were stopped.) The ship’s crew took it all calmly, until one of the government officials recognized a man and a battle ensued, leaving most of Rooster’s shipmates dead.

When it became clear that they were in trouble, the pilot hit autopilot, setting the airship on a straight path before warning Rooster away from the controls and rushing off to help his comrades, where he was detained. When the government officials found Rooster sitting there, they assumed that he was the pilot and ordered him to take them to where they had originally been headed. Understandably, Rooster bluffed and took them in a random direction for a few minutes before somehow managing to land the ship smoothly without crashing it , hoping that their correspondents would realize that something had gone wrong.

While waiting there, they were overtaken and saved—on the part of the few survivors from the original crew—by their ally ship. Of these, one was the pilot of that airship, where Rooster would eventually copilot for years before being put in charge of his own.

Personality:
Too blunt, too closed off, and too challenging of others’ perceptions of him, Rooster has never been so good with words or people, finding social situations awkward and steering clear of them whenever possible. He’s not afraid to be honest and rarely phrases things lightly, but nor will he insult people on a whim (usually). What other people would phrase as questions, Rooster will generally phrase as statements or orders. Rather lacking in the formalities department, he rarely uses phrases such as “thank you” and “pardon me” and “sorry,” and will never excuse his own actions.

Appearance:
Not generally one to bother with appearances, Rooster dresses more for comfort and ease of movement than anything else. He looks perpetually rumpled, even when he’s dressed in some of his nicer clothes—not that he’s ever really prepared for formal occasions. Only a very, extremely, small and unnoticeable part of his closet (if he actually ever used it) would fall into the “formal” category.
